Winter in Niseko
Known for its non-stop lights, powder snow, backcountry access and breathtaking scenery, Niseko is Japan's most famous ski resort and one of the top ski resorts in the world. The four main resorts of Hanazono, Hirafu, Niseko Village and Annupuri make up the Niseko United Ski Area, and you can ski with just one lift pass.
Niseko - Hokkaido's number one ski resort - is famous for its powder snow and has the third-highest snowfall in the world! Its four main interconnected ski areas, collectively known as Niseko United, form Hokkaido's largest ski resort and offer multiple trails suitable for beginners and experts alike.
Niseko Oyunuma
Hot spring swamps gushing along the Niseko Panorama Line (National Route 66). The swamp has a circumference of 200m, and about 1000L of water flows out of the pond every minute. You can see hot springs gushing out of the swamp.
Kagami-numa
Kagami-numa is a small marshland in the high swamps in the middle of the northeastern slopes of Niseko Annupuri. On a calm day with no wind, you can really enjoy the view of Kagaminuma with the trees reflected on the lake. There are two main routes to Mirror Bog. One is the [HANAZONO GOLF route], which enters near the Aza Hanazono 1 Hanazono golf course in Kutchancho. The other is to enter [National Route 58] from National Route 58 (Kuchian-machi Garden ~ Goseki Hot Spring).
Mount Yotei
Mount Yotei is located in the southern part of the Hoshi region of Hokkaido, with an altitude of 1,898 meters. Its beautiful conical shape closely resembles Mount Fuji, so it has been known as "Ezo Fuji" since ancient times. It is located on the west side of Shikotsu-Toya National Park. It is listed as one of the "Top 100 Mountains in Japan". Its neat cone-shaped appearance has become a landmark of the Niseko area.
Visually, it features completely different landscapes depending on the season and time of day. The sunset scenery is especially beautiful in the evening. There is a vast and rich nature around Mt. Yotei, and the famous water spots formed by the melted snow in various places attract many tourists.
It is also a popular hiking spot in summer, with four hiking routes to choose from. The Makari Route and the Kutchan Route are suitable for novice climbers and are easy routes for people who are new to mountain climbing. The Kyogoku Route and Kimobetsu Route are suitable for experienced climbers, so you may want to check them out depending on your physical abilities.
Shiribetsu River
The Shiribetsu River is about 30 kilometers long and is an area where you can enjoy rafting activities.
The Shiribetsu River, where the rafting activity is located, is a first-class river with a total length of 126 kilometers. It flows around Mount Yotei and flows into the Sea of Japan. Nowadays, it's best known for rafting and has become synonymous with summer in Niseko, but it's also a river rich in nature and home to the Japanese mythical Ito fish.
The Shiribetsu River flows eternally. During his exploration of the Shiribetsu River in 1857, Takeshiro Matsuura wrote his "Goyotei Diary", which gives a glimpse of its history. This is the first time that many people in Honshu have introduced the Shiribetsu River, which was previously known only to the Ainu people.
Time passed, and in 1995, an Australian began rafting on the Shiribetsu River, which is rich in nature. This was also the moment when Niseko rafting was born, and it was also the moment when Niseko rafting was born.
Today, the Shiribetsu River is crowded with many rafters.
